I have picked colors ... and perhaps, in the next two weeks or so if I'm so inclined, I may post before and afters ... I don't like white walls, never have, so the whole place is basically being colored. There was a big debate at work with myself and others about whether this color or that color worked together. Everyone agreed that the living room would work ... bedrooms and bathrooms got some serious debate.
I'll post the whole story on my regular site (click on the Mookee to the left) sometime in the next few weeks ... it's a long story, goes back all back to November, and may be long and tedious, but that's probably the fault of the writer.
So, be prepared to see a "new" home that looks like a 5th grader just bought a new set of crayons...
...but yes, I'm having a blast.

Nada
Very little happened today. I did a walk through with my soon to be new roommate ... told one of my old roommates I was moving (which will cause the rent to skyrocket, so ... everyone is moving). I must say I feel badly about that, but life goes on.
The big thing that happened would be that the inspectors are in town and they're pretty stupid. Not that I'm surprised by that, but it is a bit annoying to not know what may or may not be the right thing to say, because common sense is certainly not what they're looking for.

Friends, Romans, Countrymen
What an intersting day. Ups, downs, lefts, rights, ... side to sides (up down, sand the floor, etc.).
1) I signed the papers. I will very soon be half a million dollars in debt. WAHOO. I'm going to be playing college boy again as far as food and fun, but with any luck, inside a couple of years I'll be able to live like a person again. I'll have to pick a date for the "last meal."
2) Got an email from a "co-worker" (I'm not a fan of "subordinate" in this context) about me and my prejudice against English. I thought it rather amusing and relatively annoying at the same time. I knew exactly what was being referenced, but I responded with the following, "I have no idea what you're talking about." I forwarded it to the boss, just in case it comes up again.
3) Long work hours...funny thing though, this isn't a complaint. I actually can't get any "work" done during the day so I wait till later when fewer people are around and I actually enjoy the belief that I'm getting something done...plus, super long hours are an excuse to drive past the gym.
4) Incredibly bad news from one of my favorite families. Their son, also a friend of mine, diagnosed as bi-polar and tried to kill himself. He's ok (all things considered), but brought back some pretty bad memories. I don't pray a lot, as I have little to pray for ... I'm more the thankful type ... but I'm praying he'll be ok.
So ... like I said, up/down, and all around. It's an interesting life we all take for granted. I have my problems but I can safely say I'm happy. It's all we can hope for.

Courage
Courage is anything that requires a leap of faith. I don't mean necessarily the God/belief type leap (though such could apply), but rather doing something in which you really have no clue what the result will be. Granted, rarely does anyone really know exactly what any result will be, and there is a fine line between a "courageous" act and an incredibly stupid one.
I've been thinking about such a post for a while now, I'm hoping this weekend I'll get it up (I haven't been writing it though ... such is my problem, I should write, revise, etc., I seem to only like the write part. I love the first draft).
Anyway, if I had something else to say I would, I just want to keep my one post a day streak current. If anyone has any thoughts they want to share that I can include in the post itself, by all means, I'm listening.

Found
One of my best friends from college, who I lost contact with somehow ... was able to find me through the web (through m.ookee.com). It's funny how things work that way. I was sifting through the 100 or so spam mails I get every day, not expecting to see anything, and I had a random email from him.
Wow, here's to old friends.
